A Bike Ride

Well, yesterday morning we broke out the bikes (Jay & I didn't ride at all last summer) and went over to Pickerington Ponds Metro Park. We started out on the trail at Glacier Knoll and just kept on going as it hooked up with the extension of Blacklick Creek Greenway Trail. We kept watching the sky up north because it was very dark and we figured it would take a while before we had to be worried about it.

After we rode almost four miles, we started hearing the thunder and decided it was time to turn back. Poor Zack thought as we kept going we would end up where we started (like the trail at Blacklick) - he didn't realize we had to turn around to get back. So once we decided to turn around he was exhausted and didn't think he could make it back another four miles. Well . . . after a few rounds of thunder and the sight of lightning, he was leading the pack back.

It was a nice trail ride. We'll have to do it again.
