There are babies all around us. We have had several robins' nests with baby birds in our yard this spring and now we have found these little babies.
At first glance, we were like what are they, but when you look really really close . . .
they are ladybugs.
We're not sure if the white shimmery stuff is their egg casings or future ladybugs to come still. We found out that the female lays egg clusters that contain 12-50 eggs and these are so tiny we can't tell if they are empty or still have critters in them. We found this to be really neat because we have never seen ladybugs so tiny!!
